Yeah. I know these tranny's aren't the best in the market but if you know how to drive them then they can actually be quite strong. I used to sit at every stop light when I was younger with my foot on the gas and brake and both were on the floor trying to break the tranny (don't ask, long story) and I couldn't make it slip at all. And that was with a comp. Did numerous power brakes and 20psi (yes, 20psi) boosted launches on it with no issues. After the valvebody I actually quit doing that stuff. Go figure.

trust me i have tried as well. i am getting a Full billet built by Dave and have tried to fry this one and just cant seem to. the first 4 stock ones went withen 5k miles of each other. i have about 12k on this one and its holding strong. i dont know what the deal is. i mean if i race with out the lock up switch, i can slip the TC BAD but if i race it locked up, i havent had one problem with slipping at all. i mean i have raced so many trucks that should have beat me. new Dmaxs with lots of work done, cummins that should be way faster than mine, and a bunch of powerchokes and have beat them all. i mean like i have said a long time ago. my buddy has an 03 REGULAR cab long box with the HOT juice, full DTT tranny , diablo programmer, and water meth and he should walk all over me and i end up getting him by 2 or 3 truck lengths. i just think my truck is a freak of nature.

i did take a video of my truck doing 2 boosted launches in 4x4. one was at 15 psi and the other was at 20psi. for some reason i am having trouble getting them from the video camera to my computer. if it wont work out, i will take video with my phone then just e mail them to myself.
