That is 12,000 miles... I change oil every 6K so every second oil change I change my fuel filter. Your changing you fuel filter way too early dude... Actually the fuel filter should be changed at 15,000 miles...

Wel if you use SuperTech 2 Cycle Oil it is really dark blue... So it shouldd be dyeing the fuel buel colored or mint green like mine is... You might want to drain a sample of fuel in a white bowl like what I did to check the color...
