how do you like em?

we put in a set in my cousins truck, the engine lopes a lot when starting up when engine is warm, and it just doesnt idle as smooth as it did with stock injectors. kinda like none pop tested jammers do,

just need to know if yours do that too, or is it cuz of the "different vp44" this vp44 is a john deere pump. truck also has a juice/att

 

My truck idles the same as it did with stock injectors.

 

They idled as smooth as stock in my truck! But I have heard of the Edge J/A causing this irratic/lopey idle sometimes. The easiest way to find out if its the box would be to remove it all together and see if it smoothes back out!

 

I would first turn the box off, see if that makes any difference. If not then you have to look at the pump and injectors. How did the pump run with stock injectors (I assume the pump was on the truck before the RV275s were installed). If the pump ran fine with the stock injectors, then it is likely the injectors causing the problem.

Where did he buy the injectors from? There have been a few reports of knock-off RV275s being sold on Ebay, that were not up the standards of a real Bosch injector.

the truck idled fine with the deere pump and stock injectors.

im wondering if the deere pump just doesnt work well with the 275 inj or if the 275 are bad in itself. might be the "bad" inj of ebay

 

Make sure none of the injector lines are leaking. Make sure all the nuts are tight. We had a fellow chapter member experience a similar problem.

 

Well, for $200, unless they told you that they are Bosch injectors, they're probably NOT. I'm guessin it's the injectors. Lot's of companies sellin 275 or 300hp injectors that they've probably made out in the yard barn with a cordless drill and stock injectors and sellin them as "edm'ed" injectors.

what i was meaning, how do i know if a connector tube is cracked or not sealing causing the leaking into the return, causing the bad idle...

 

depending on the year, you needed to replace the tubes with an updated version...I know I had to on my 98.5
