Quick Question about TST PM3 Comp
#2
On TST's website they dont ever list the PowerMax in a COMP version, they just list a PowerMax CE, which is $50 dollars more than the PM3, so I was thinkin that the PMCE is the COMP version. Anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance

For the record, when I got my PM3 adjustable turned into the competition version, level 3 is now like what level 9 used to be.... BUT.... on my truck there is ZERO... absolutely no difference from 3 to 9 now..... The fuel comes on much quicker and at a lower boost now at 3 than it used to at 9, but total fueling is the same. At least in my case... So all this mod got me was 6 less levels to play with and a tad more fuel early..... Cant say I am real happy about that....

3rd Gen trucks get the PowerMax CR (Common Rail).
Powermax CE (Competition Edition) is for VP trucks.
As Kevin posted, it's not worth it for 90% of the people. The best config for the PMAX is what wildcat diesel (RIP) used to do: have the fuel come in early like the Comp version, let it Rev higher like the comp version, but keep overall fueling limited to the same as the regular PMAX. 63% or so on highest fueling.
Per Mark @TST, the Comp version is really just for people trying to squeeze out every last ounce of fuel. "On an HO truck it's a waste-- it just gives more smoke and heat, and no more power". That's what he told me.
At least, that's my understanding of the TST nomenclature.
