Questions to answer

Hi to all,

First let me say that I am not an expert diesel technician, but have owned, operated and professionally maintained heavy and light duty diesel powered equipment for several years. However, with the growing amount of diesel performance products available, I feel somewhat overwhelmed, and wondered what you, the experts, feel is the ultimate set-up for everyday, all day, street driving and more than occasional towing. I have some modifications done already including a K&N intake system, DD Jammer 3's, SBC, muffler deleted 4" turbo-back, stock turbo w/silencer ring deleted, ISSPRO's on the pillar and ECM recalibrations to injection timing and fueling by retired Cummins Fuel Systems employee Jim Jessup. I use the truck daily for commuting and to tow my racecar to and from the tracks. I am interested in a new fueling device like an Edge Drag Comp, or A Smarty VP. I used to have a TST PM3 but removed it. Also wondered if I do go any further is a larger turbo going to be a necessity? Thanks in advance! Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

I would go with a larger turbo with what you have and maybe a smarty.

I would think something like a S300 would work very well.

Fill out your sig so we can see exactly what you have and help you better. But just from what I hav read I would say go with a better turbo (I prefer the Garrett BB turbos) Something for your fuel system like a FASS, & something like the Edge Juce/W Attitude or COMP box. The Juce W/Attieude is nice becosue it has all the gauges you could ever want & also great safty featurs to keep your boost, EGT ect... with in your set pramiters. That is my .02

Thanks for the info guys! I've updated my profile to list my mods. Still have a few remaining questions though. I just read a post regarding s300 turbso and it states that they come in varying sizes on both exhaust and compressor wheels. Which do I need?

A medium range s300 should work fine, such as a 62/12 or 62/14. I love my 62/12 but with the fuel I'm running the egt's get a little hot running on the track.
