Question about spools?

I am building a pulling truck that might get drove around a little bit. My question is, can i put a spool in my dana 80 instead of a locker? Since i might drive it on the road i will put a locker in the front. But i want to make sure i can spool the rear. Where is a good place to get on? thanks guys.

haisley or eep has them but you want to be carefull driving them on the street more so when its wet as for the front you better get the arb air locker or you wont be able to turn the truck very well

Prepare to wear tires out fast and lose some turning radius. Other than that, spools are great!

You don't want to drive a spool on the street. they are terrible on road, i know i have one in my jeep, it is off road only.
Look at a Detroit for the rear.

Yeah, spools are terrible on the street. I have one in my Jeep as well. I guess you'd get used to it, but rain, snow, and tire wear will suck.

Jeeps have a much shorter wheel base. A longer wheel base vehicle will handle better on road than a short one with a spool.
