Question about Rips Rooks 4" Exhaust

Does anyone here have Rip Rocks Exhaust installed on a 94-98? My buddy is looking for a better exhaust system, and rips price is really good. I was wondering if there was any weldng or anything that has to be done, or will it just go right up in place. Also how does it sound, and is there any drones associated with it? Here's the link to the page its the first one on there: http://www.protintnw.com/sa_dodge-exh.htm

Re:Exhaust Question

I've seen them on 1st gens, early and late 2nd gens, and installed one on my 2nd gen.

Easy install, you tell Rip if you want to weld or clamp it together, he'll send ya all the parts you need and e-mail you instructions......(read the instructions).

Sound.....wooooooo hooooooo! Again, tell Rip what you want. He's been at it long enough, he knows what sounds like what. He's tried mufflers turned around backwards for a little more sound, custom tuned exhaust (Helmholtz) no muffler, deep sound and no drone, duals, and I believe his Stainless Steel system is on sale this month.

Re:Question about Rips Rocks Exhaust

I agree with Ol Blue...I have seen and heard numerous different installations, done by Rip or by the purchaser.

Just make sure you tell him what you are looking for as to sound. He has even measured some Db readings on different systems...

Re:Question about Rips Rocks Exhaust

engcogod,

Just for your info it is Rip Rook - not Rock. Rip Rook is his actual first and last names.

Go with his exhaust. You won't find better exhaust, price, service or warranty.

Stan

Actually, if the truth be known, Rip just might be a nickname and not his given first name, howsoever it does sound sweet tho doesn't it. Kinda goes together, Rip Rook, Hulk Hogan, Tiger Woods (and yes, I do know that Tiger IS his given name) etc., (he will probably kill me when he reads this) but having said that, the Ripster knows his business and you can't go wrong with his system nor any other toys that he sells that you might want.

Roger

PS. Hey Rip, what's it worth to you to keep my mouth shut? I could use some more toys.

Actually Roger, Tiger's real name is Eldrick Woods.

But I digress. If you want the best deal on an exhaust system, Rip is absolutely the man to see. As for how it sounds, that is up to you. Rip will work with you until you are happy. I wanted near stock quiet(relative term), so he installed a 40" long, straight through, Magnaflow truck type muffler instead of the usual 24" job on my rig. Sounds just like I wanted it.

Ok Don (Donyo), u got me on that one. Just colour me stupid on the Tiger Woods thingy, Haha. Even the best of us make a mistake now and then. How bout this then? Rocky Balboa, now that works. But consider this, how would Sylvester Rook (no offense to anyone out here named Sylvester) sound? That doesn't flow at all and the Ripster only sells exhaust systems that flow. Or how about Rip Rook Rocks. Trying saying that 3 times really fast. Oh, wait a minute, that's what started this whole thing in that someone thought the Ripsters last name was Rock.

Regards,

Roger
