I doubt the Recon is going to have FP available at this point. We have not been selling the FP kit with the current ones available. If you can find one there is a 100% chance it will work and about a 90% chance it will work over a long period of time. It just depends and that is why we stopped selling them. If you buy one that is still available we will warranty it for you if needed.

We have a fix in the works for the Commander and the Adrenalines though.

We also have a new stand alone monitor for the 98-02 trucks that should be out soon as well. It will read egt, boost, IAT, TPS%, RPM, coolant, fuel temp, ecm voltage, MPH, Corrected MPH, engine load% and Oil Pressure on some of the models. Plus it will have 0-60 times and 1/4 mile tests you can run.

There will also be an optional FP kit for it that is a transducer that will be optional as well as an optional Turbo Timer.

I think we also have the ability to now show transmission or clutch slipage!

The Recon gauge is probably going away. The cost of materials is going to drive away all the inexpensive parts at some point! Just the cost of copper is killing us!

We use Datcon fuel pressure sending units and about 10% of them fail within the first year? I don't know, how, what, why or anything or I would try to fix it myself.

I personally think it is just the vibration of the engine on the mechanical parts inside the sending unit.

We might have something smaller in the future but, since we released the Recon the cost of copper wire has quadrupled in price. Anything petroleum based such as silicone has also gone up. Basically these things cost about 4 times more for us to make now than when we started, that is why we are not going to continue to use them.

If you want one I would gobble it up!

A few weeks ago when I called your company, a representative in service told me a NEW sending unit was right around the corner and to keep checking back on your web page. My sending unit has been iffy for a while now. What is the current status? I have a RECON that is currently not functioning as a fuel pressure gauge and that is the main reason I purchased it in the first place. Small, compact and reasonably priced. What do I do now, based on your comments above?

I'm in the same boat, only with a commander. When are you going to have some new sending units available?

Well, no response? Maybe this was missed first time around, so I'll try again.

What do we current owners do?

If you have a Recon gauge and you bought a FP kit you need to call tech support and have them replace the sending unit. The replacement units are much better than the original ones.

There is no way for the Recon gauge to support the transducer like some of the other electronics we have, so we will have to warranty the units that are having issues.

If you have a Commander, you will have to wait until the transducers are available.

Any idea when you'll have them for the commander?
