Ok, I need a couple of guys that have had at least one of these issues to test something for me.
1.) Turbo Timer will not or does not activate. If it happened once then don't bother, I need someone that has this as a really annoing issue.
2.) Turbo Timer activates but, really late and causes the truck to surge or something bad when it activates.
3.) Truck that will not turn off with the accelerator pedal (98-00)
4.) 98-00 truck that has any of the above issues and the truck will not fuel above PL02.
When you stick your hand up, tell me which issue(s) you have.

1.) TT activates about 50% of the time (varies, some days doesn't work at all, some days works every time)
2.) Surged badly at first when it came on but has since become a little more mild
3.) Has not shut down 4 times and had to be unplugged to kill the engine, (also set a "CEL) brake/accelerator won't shut it down at all ('99)
4.) Does not fuel above PL02

I have a very early '01 as well and have the following issues:
1: Turbo timer does not activate at all (has never worked)
2: Will not fuel above level PL02 on the V300 tune (did with previous tunes, but surging was unbearable)

Turbo timer works most of the time. only 1 out of 20 it doesn't work

Almost everytime I shut down the truck it almost dies before it surges back to life.

2) Turbo timer surges as it catches truck at 4-500 rpm when shut off, then roars to 1200 or so and then back down to idle around 825 rpm.
3) Truck has never turned off with accelerator or brake, but aways kills as it should at the end of the 20sec or 3 min.
4) No fueling above level 2 on beta v300. Does fuel on upper levels of the 10 level dyno tune as there is a bunch more smoke.

Quad, food for thought, I wonder how many trucks have ever been reflashed at a dealership with one of the 20 different software updates that DC has released over the years. I bought my truck used with 175K so who knows what flash the ecm has. However, testers who have used a smarty before probably would have the same ecm software programming no?

Also... Smarty is suppose to be latest & greatest 2nd Gen (24v) ECM update. But who's to say it isn't slightly different??
TIGERRAG - V300 has 20 sec TT, with everything else turned off. I'm using my own TT still but when I turn my key off (without my TT) my incab power...radio, heater, etc.... runs for 20 sec!

The timer thing is really only an issue when I need the truck quiet.

I am waiting to hear back from Justin because my control pod has no power so I am unable to test anything now, but I can comment on these issues.
#1. TT works sometimes, mabey 2 out of 10 shutdowns
#2. Almost allways dies then surges up quickly. A few times it has been smooth
#3. Neither pedal has ever turned the truck off.
#4 No power above level 2, I have v300 since Thanksgiving but on earlier tunes & the one that came on it worked on all levels, surging was to bad though.

He got the kinks figured out for 98.5-00 trucks & found a software issue. My new box just arrived today, gonna install it now & post the results tonight. He is addressing the TT issue, high idle & surging with this software.
