Well I meant more along the lines of down the road if I upgrade to a 3rd gen, can I pull this and plug it into an adrenaline made for the 3rd gen that I purchase. Not sure if anything in the pulse is specific to the trucks engine type?

Ditto!
Lots of questions floating around several web sites lately..... Some updated info sure would be appreciated.
Also, new update for Pulse...v1.2.9... "could not find" my Pulse? Anyone else have this problem?

Surging issues, if anyone is experiencing this please explain exactly how it feels. I have been having a kinda bouncing on my truck @ light throttle, i even replaced the shocks with ProComp ES9000's thinking that was the problem. I'm running the 1000a tune too.
I still hate the buttons on the Pulse, they hardly ever work. You could have done a lot better with the .02c buttons on a very expensive unit!! I'm almost at the point of starting to look to get another Smarty with a Comp to stack. At least the buttons on the Comp worked.
