pyrometer

I agree. My I had a glowshift pyrometer and boost gauge. I knew something was up when I could only reach 1000 degrees on long uphill pull with a 38 foot enclosed trailer. I wired in a autometer and it was much quicker to respond to the throttle and boost levels. 1000 degrees on my old glowshift equals out to be 1400 degrees on my Autometer.. both probes same spot on exhaust manifold.. they look cool, I just don't trust them.

Don't count on that. Some of their gauges are US made but many are from overseas. I know as I have been to Isspro several times and have a full set in my '67 W200. Not sure any of those are US made but the speedo and tach might be. Six others are not.

Gauges are for one reason and for one reason ONLY.....and thats not for looks. The real reason is so you can accurately monitor whats going on with the engine. Buy quality or you might as well not have any gauge at all. Whats the point of having a gauge which you cant rely on?

Never really seen them mentioned on here but Dakota Digital get my vote. Before I hit the forums I purchased mine (a bit pricey) and they've been going strong since I installed them in 2005 (over 160k miles ago). They also match the interior coloring of the 2nd gens nicely!
