put smoke switch in now truck runs rough AHH!!
just put a smoke switch in my truck it has ddp stage 3 injectors and a tst powermax........ if i have the chip off or one level 1 its sounds and feels normal just more smoke but if u turn the chip on level 2 or higher the truck wants to cut out really bad but throughs alllllot of smoke yipppy but the cutting out part is bad....any idea of what this might be?

Allright, so far I'm lost with these posts
I'll take a stab at it...with a wiretap box like the TST is, re-check your wiring, and more than anything, make sure you have a good ground connection. Go over every connection one more time.
Do you have a boost fooler installed?
Oh, a couple other things...fill out your signature for your truck, and what is a smoke switch????....do you mean the TST box?

no guys, a smoke switch is a jumper instlled on the boost sense line to fool the ecm into thinking there is full boost, when the ecm sees this as full boost, it allows full fueling. this smokes like crazy, can spool the turbo a bit faster for racing, and is meant to be used only on short bursts. Leaving the switch in the smoke position can cause codes and truck to run horridly if the truck is started with the switch one "smoke" It was originally discovered and used on certain trucks with certain "chips / power boxes"

All that black smoke is wasted HP, what the heck its only $4.20 a gal. And switch could also get you a good fine , I know thats my job. I love moding these trucks but I think the smoke switch is stupid and for little kids. Its like saying, my truck looks like a sled puller or a drag truck.

last time i tried the smoke switch idea, it killed my vp in like 3 days, it was fun blowing huge clouds but i guess its pretty hard on the VP haha, and its not just for kids, i turn 18 in 2 days and i will probably enjoy it just as much then as i do now and i will legally be an adult lol also there are no laws against smoke here in alberta

Smoke switch??? I don't need no smoke switch. I just turn both of my boxes to the highest settings and hammer down. And just before the tranny shifts into 2nd. I flip my T/C lock switch. Plenty of rolling smoke.
