Pusher Pump Mounting Location?

Pusher Pump Mounting Location?
OK i'm sure this has been beat to death but keep in mind i am a newbee. I was crawling around under my truck looking for a good spot to mount my pusher pump, the only spot i came up with is basically at the front of the fuel tank beside the transfercase. Is this the correct location? Do i just cut out a section and add the pump in with some 3/8 fuel hose. The pump i chose to use is a holly blue rated at 14psi i believe, the stock one holds 14 psi at idle. The pusher pump will feed the factory lift pump, i asume this is what guys are doing, i thought that is what i read .Any imput on this will be apreciated. I plan to put in a relay using the factory lift pump power wire as the relay trigger wire, that wary i won't overload the factory lift pump feed wire.

That's exactly where I mounted my Blue pump.

I keep thinking the injection pump will go out before march when the warranty goes out but, I am starting to think i better add a pump and take care or it to make it last.My luck it will go out in april anyway and i'll still end up paring for it. Thanks for the ideas i think i'm clear on what I have to do.

Not sure I or you are clear, but if you are going to mount the Holley on the frame rail and it puts out 14psi, you do NOT want to run it into the lift pump, you will easily exceed 25psi or more combined and will have a high chance of problems with too much pressure. There are pusher pumps built to supply 7-8psi and those are the ones to use if you want to keep the lift pump too. Just use your Holley by itself.
I used a Carter P4601HP on my frame rail (shortbed too) and completely bypassed the stock lift pump. See my gallery. My pressures are around 13psi. I wired it directly into the lift pump wires after I added an extension - no relay since I'm only running one pump which is basically identical to the stock lift pump. Been fine for 5000 miles.
