they can build a box any way you want it. butter bean wanted his real easy to turn. it must be like longbob's, one pinkey will do all the steering. i want a 12 to one box or my little truck. they make a 10 to one, but it is high dollar. the factory box is a 16 to one variable, which is 12:1 at the far left and right.

http://www.pscmotorsports.com/produc...c0d2fa5f18efe9 this is the one I have, and could be happier. Its tons easier to steer, makes backing a trailer alot easier. Its been on about 2 years now without a single problem. At the time I bought mine they didn't make the cummins specific one, but I probably would have choosen this one anyway because of the faster ratio and lighter valving.

They say 'little road feel' so I think they mean its output is heavy enough to not allow much feedback from bumps into the steering. Does that make any latent death wobble problems worse? Usually making a system like this more rigid in the wrong place makes the oscillations worse, so I wanted to make sure.
They make a diesel pickup gearbox too apparently. Maybe a little less powerful than this one

HUH? meant just what I said, the one I linked is the one I have and I'm very happy with it

I really don't know what they mean by "little road feel" its not like it makes it harder to handle. It is valved considerablly lighter so it makes it alot easier to steer. Which is why I bought that one, because the ram always seemed like it had stiffer steering than my previous ford and chevy trucks. I'm a 2 finger driver on road trips and it makes it tons easier backing the boat around. As far as death wobble issues, it didn't change anything for me, but then again death wobble was never a problem for me until I changed front axles, then it only did it until I got the truck aligned.

Yeah they have this one http://www.pscmotorsports.com/produc...c0d2fa5f18efe9 and as far as I can tell the main difference is the diesel one is a 20:1 ratio instead of the 13-16:1 ratio of the other boxes, which would make it steer somewhat slower. The only reasons I can think they would do this is so that it isin't as sensetive at higher speeds or so that it the gearbox has less strain put on the box due to the higher ratio. The only other difference I can think might be valving, they don't specify if it has light or normal valving so I would imagine it is normal.

With all that being said, if you feel like you want your truck to have easier steering and/or a tiny bit quicker steering then I say get the SG-841MX if you like the way your truck steers now and just want a good quality box then get the SG-841MD.

Hope that helps....Josh

I just finished the job of installing a PSC box, and I'm real happy with it. I installed a SG 841 M, and it is great. After the install I also found a tie rod end that was a little loose so I replaced both ends on the drivers side and had it aligned. I tracks strait as an arrow, and is steady on the road now. The old one was a dealer installed rebuilt (warantee job) that started leaking at the pitman arm shaft about 5k miles after the work was done. I decided to go PSC and get a new box for less money. ( They gave me a TDR discount and I paid $333.93 delivered) No core charge because they only sell new, not rebuilt.

I just placed an order for the 841M also, they recommended it when I mentioned I wanted a lower amount of steering wheel travel.
Im doing a vacuum pump seal so the power steering has to get bled out again anyhow. May as well get it done all at once.
Does PSC do cores? Any use for this old gearbox someplace?
Ill do a posting again after I have a few trips on the new box, should be good stuff from what Im hearing
Thanks for the info again guys
