ps62-12 or htt62-12 or 14?

Time for upgrade. Which would be better and do I need more Fuel?
Htt recomended the 57-12 because, with my setup it would surge when towing i n Cal. I only turn 1450 rpm @55, and I usually am between 14000 and 19000 lbs. What do you Think

I'm going to have to agree with HTT. You dont real have enough fuel to spin a 62. That turbo should work perfect for you. It will spool fast and should cool very well while towing.

How much fuel would I need while towing to push the 62 and would the low stall converter be a problem?

I'm surprised your having EGT problems with just the injectors. Your gonna need at least a fueling box to be able to take full effect off the 62. A smarty would work as well.

im also thinking of getting a sps62. i know i will be able to spool, but i dont know if it will be able to cool enough. if that wont work, i will be building twins, but id rather have a big single turbo.

You can see the fuel I'm pushing and with a 62/12 at 52psi I can hit 1500* at 90mph from a standing stop.

Wow blue, I'd hate to see what your drive pressure is at 52psi.

That's why I backed it down to 40psi. It does also help having a wastegate the size of this one. Looks like they took a plasma torch and cut out every unnecessary piece of metal in there.

Considering that I'm running a 93mph in the 1/4 I don't mind seeing that kinda EGT for a short time.

yea, but i want something that i can romp on hard, and hot have to worry about pegging the egt gauge. i like to play offroad, and pull a 3-4k trailer, and i dont want that much heat when im playing or pulling.

I romp on mine everyday and don't think about it. Even when playing around in the mud. Slow crawling was never an issue with EGT's. I pull a 3k trailer in the city during august and can only hit maybe 1000* egt's. I can understand what your getting at though. It would be nice not to have to worry but when you start getting into the big numbers your gonna have to start watching that gauge more and more.

yea i understand that. 1000* i wont blink a eye at, but once you get up to 1300*+, thats when i start to get edgy. i will be making runs to georgia this year, pulling a trailer 6 days a week, and playing offroad every chance i get, and i would like to keep the heat managable. do you think that i would be better off with a s400 or mabye just a jammer turbo.

An s400 under a 62 would be a killer twin combo. With the fuel you've got I think you'd blow right through a jammer.
