pryo probe leaking at compression fitting
I installed the ISSPRO fuel pressure, boost, and pyro gauges the other day. I tapped and placed the compression fitting into the manifold with the thermocouple probe in place. The compression fitting is tight but there still is exhaust escaping where the probe extends from the compression fitting. The compression nut is as tight as it will get. Any suggestions? I've emailed Dieselmanor and waiting for a response. I thought I would ask you guys as well.
I will post the pic here once it is approved...

Did you assemble the pyro correctly? There are two small pieces that "hold" the pyro. The ferrel and the seat. They need to be in the right order to seal it properly.

I will have to check that out. Does the ISSPRO R683 Steel Compression Fitting come with one? I will have to find the instructions and see if it mentions it.
On edit: here is the pic
On 2nd edit:
Just went out to the truck and removed the thermocoupler and probe. No ferrel. I will call Dave Monday morning and order another one. Until then I will search the driveway.
thanks guys,
Bob

Yep sure as poop theres nothing inside , I remember there was nothing else with it and seemed like a strange compresion fitting when installing it but said to my self that must be it because they wouldn't forget anything . Well where does one get the missing parts ?? Do I have to call isspro?

You should be able to get a ferrule from any autoparts or well stocked hardware store for less than 25¢. If they don't carry them separately buy a compression fitting and rob the ferrule from it.
If I'm not mistaken the Isspro probe uses a 1/4"

Exhaust leak fixed
Guys,
The leak is fixed!
Don't worry.... I used the brass colored ones. Worked like a charm. I only tightened a half turn like Geico266 said.
Thanks for the help!

I just got a brass one also 1/4 inch put it in and the nut still bottomed out and it still leaks (soapy water test) . Got mine out of a brass fitting that looks the same as the fitting on the pyro . Any thoughts/???

I will have to go and recheck mine then. I just used spit . Be right back.
on edit:
The Ferrell is working: no bubbles. I did find however, that I had leaks at the base of the fitting. Another turn of the wrench fixed that.
thanks,
Bob
