Propane injection, why not?
I have been debating the use of propane injection, can anyone afford any insight into why or why not to use, the kits are available for about 700usd.

Water/Meth is infinitely more adjustable and can serve more then one purpose.
You can run straight water when towing to keep EGT's (with a HP bump to go with it) in check or you can add in Methanol for added HP. With the latest offerings from Cooling Mist or Snow you can make the flow progressive on Boost or EGT and you can adjust the flow rates on the fly. You can fill up most anywhere on both water or methanol.

It contributes to pre ignition from compression. When the fuel is direct injected it is done at the point where ignition is desired. When a fuel source is added to the air stream it can/will auto ignite due to compression and could do it well in advance of the desired ignition point.

Sorry but this is not a 100% correct. Not all fuels will compression ignite in a diesel. If the fuel does not ignite it will start burning when the diesel starts to ignite it will not add any timing, but it will change the rate of the burn and if the rate is increased dramatically it will raise cylinder head pressure and increase combustion temperatures. One of the characteristics of diesel is its relatively slow combustion rate in comparison to gasoline. This is why most diesels are built with long strokes and run at lower RPMs to take advantage of this. It creates more power which we love so much

But Methanol mixed with 50% or more H2O, no evidence of same.
I've been running 50/50 mix for years, racing and towing in mountains, with no evidence at all on any detonation.
