Actually it is the wrong kind of fuel to run in a diesel!
Propane will make the motor run as if it has advanced timing. Becareful if running a timing box with it. Read the egt if you try it.
Many have damaged the head gasket. Many have noticed better fuel mileage.
You will only need bigger exhaust if you have heat problems.
Can you afford to put a head gasket on it?

I run propane almost all of the time and it keeps the motor very clean. The soot is kept way down compared to no LP and it helps out greatly on EGT's and power. I used to run it all of the time on my PSD but now that I have the Cummins I have 60 Gallon tanks unter the truck box in the bed and run it always. It is great stuff. The two systems that are out there are the Powershot 2000 and a liquid system from TS perfromance. I run the PS 2000 on the VAPOR side and it works great, I have heard that the TS system is more powerful but with the box, etc you can only squeeze so much fuel into the cylinders at a time. If you have guages and set it up properly you will not have problems other than getting out of tickets.
