Question Programmer/Fuel Box Combo

I have a smarty for my truck. It is completely stock except for smarty air dog exhaust and intake. What is the best fuel box combo for the smarty and what size injectors should I get that can handle the fuel?

i like my setup in sig. the tst-pm3 is fuel only so you can run any of the smarty progams safely with added timing. i also added a 3rd, the ts-mvp, which is fuel and timing. i now run the smarty on fuel only, and then adjust the ts and tst as needed . . .

oh yeah - the ts seems to come on around 10psi and when it hits you sure notice it for a non-pump tap box!

the tst comes on anywhere from 2psi and up - depending on what level you have it on.

both boxes are adjustable on the fly. i had gauges already - so something from quad or edge with gauges didn't interest me.

i like my stack because it is very clean, but is just waiting to unleash the fuel once boost starts to rise. i can drive completely smoke free even with everything cranked if needed . . .

the tst is available with gauges on the controller - but they seem kinda outdated.

one downside to my setup is the fact there are no safety warning or auto-defuels. i just have to pay attention to the gauges. i think if you got the tst with gauges included you might have those options.

Do you have upgraded injectors or is that out of just the stock set?

i have 105 hp rated sticks from F1 . . .

i also have a larger turbo which is more laggy than the stocker (if you were asking with concerns about smoke)

you have an auto or manual tranny?

Auto...I am going to close the wastegate a bit on the stock turbo and see how that works, if not I'll probably go to a 62mm

haha, i closed my wastegate off and had bad luck!

i just finished installing the tst and decided to take it for a rip to see what it was like. well i got caught up in the excitement and forgot to pay attention to my gauges and i think i overheated/overspun the stock turbo. it didn't grenade on me, but the shaft was VERY wobbly - probably wrecked a bearing.

you will be fine blocking the wastegate - just be careful if you have aftermarket boxes/programming - gauges would be nice too!!!

I have the gauges. Thanks for letting me know what to watch for. If all else fails I'll get a bigger turbo. I'm definitely leaning towards the tst powermax but I think I'm just going to get the first stage of that, (60 horse option?) I'm just lookin for a little more.

I have another question that maybe somebody can answer for me to clear the fog. I know it is probably asked a lot but what is the hp rating on a smarty for 98.5-02 on level 9? I have heard smarty is only a 65 hp programmer and then I've seen its 30-175 hp! I would really like to know for a fact.

the smarty for the 2nd gens is rated at 65 HP. i believe all catcher levels add the same power - it just gets there more aggressively in the higher software numbers . . .

i think smarty for the newer trucks are rated well above the 60-65 HP of the 2nd gen versions.

Thank you, that's disapointing to me but at least now I know.
