Any recommendations on a programer, I've heard you can get them with gauges

I like my Quadzilla Adrenaline.... but have heard Edge Juice and Smarty Products (Mads Electronics) are comparable. I'd do as much reading on this great site to come to a conclusion for what might work best for how you intend to use your truck. Id also read all about gauges and lift pump upgrades prior to installing a programmer. Good luck.

Good old san Antonio, anyway, i've been reading past post, an it looks like they are all similar, I just bought the truck and don't know much about diesels, all i'll be using it for will be using it for is towing and mileage, there is a power puck on it now, and I have no clue what it does

The power puck is one of the more mild programs for the truck. I highly recommend you upgrade the lift pump and/or at min install a fuel psi gauge. Also read on here and become knowledgable about this model of dodge cummins....low fuel psi will kill your Vp44 injector pump. Not trying to alarm you at all but adding a programmer puts a demand on the injector pump which then requires more fuel, low fuel psi begins to and eventually destroy the injector pump. Adequate fuel psi (min 10, max 25)keeps the pump cool and working.

Yes...some of the programmers have gauges all-in one. Make sure you install one with fuel psi and/or add it

I have an "Edge Juice W/A". Has all the gauges I need along with a turbo cool down program. Gauges are a must when towing especially heavy loads, I monitor my EGTs, boost, and their are many more options to monitor. In addition you can boost your horse power on the fly no need to stop and reset. I have an older version that I am happy with I have sent it in once to be updated and reprogrammed cost was around a 100. Do a Google search on it or just read what others have done with different programmers on this site. You will find out many opinions on this subject.
