A friend of mine has an 02 Auto and recently put an Edge Attitude on it. It was running fine for a few days until he was on a job site and the truck would not shut off. He eventually pulled the wire to the ignition from the box and it shut down. After that it would start but not go anywhere unless he had it in 1st and had only about 50% power.

He called down to Edge and they put him through the reset procedure. So far it works fine, but he got a transmission light (didn't know there was one) and it shifts hard into OD.

Does the Attitude control the transmission at all? And is this a typical problem for these units? Anything we should check first?
