problem with tranny/clutch

i just took the truck out to get lunch, shifted fine into reverse, no grinding, no popping. seems to me that its only happening when the tranny is dry (oil in bottom) and has been sitting. I only put 6 quarts in it when i installed it because thats all I had. Im gonna throw 2 more in it this week and see if that helps with the dry starts/shifting into reverse. It takes 5 quarts normally and I have FAST coolers so its a little low.

it seems to only have the problem when i first start it and try to back out of the driveway. Will report back after I find out more.

yup i'll be there, still trying to figure out if its quicker to go up thru cecil, or down across the bridge again.

i hope i can get my bump stops and manifold done in time too.

Sound like you got a real deal, sents you got to keep your old one. I'll bet that the extra oil will fix it.
