problem solved!!
well for those of u that have been following my issue trying to get more than 2700 rpm outta my rig, i can tell u whats up. some things last week seemed to really indicate the lp on its last legs so today i finally replaced it. (no i still dn have a fp gauge so i just figured its time for a new one anyways @ 300k ) then i took apart the ofv to to the spring mod as i figured it may or may not b contributing to my issues. iv read that they sag over time. lo and behold, the spring was actually broken! so i removed the broken piece and put a pen spring in to tie it over till a new ofv (torktek) finds its way to my door. but what a difference! pulls well into the 3500 rpm range, idles and runs so smooth, and egts are more along the line of what one would expect with no plate . the upcoming timing bump will just make it that much better i expect. just thot id share so others can learn from my problems, and i feel like iv accomplished so much this evening. k im done.......lol
