Problem with new Van Aaaken

Installed Van Aaken box today but engine warning light stays on. Then when I tried to remove the unit could not disconnect the VA male map adaptor from the female map sensor plug (on the wireing harness). Which way should the red lock be pushed - I'm assuming in to release, right ?

What to do?

The red lock on all the sensors & electrical connections get pushed outward to release. Some also have tabs close to the wire harness that need to be pinched to released after the red tab is pushed out.

Check for codes... You might of tripped a overboost code.

Basically I would double check your wiring on you VA again. Check your grounds and power leads.

The MAP connection sounded as though it clicked in place but had not - needed to snap the red button shut by hand.
