problem???

i just installed my volant air intake last weekend and left on vacation right after i installed it. We drove probably 250 miles to the beach and i checked it and made sure everything was still right when we got there. Well we got home yesterday and i went to show it to a buddy today and i popped the hood and the intake hose was dangling down, it appeared to have been down a little while because part of the plastic hose was melted. Is there anything i can do now to help the situation? It could have been off a max of 250 miles or 6 hrs. of running time. Thanks guys!

So you ran up to 6 hours without an air filter?

I'd get an oil analysis pronto.
High silicon will indicate dirt in the cylinders.

Don't think there's much else you can do but rub a leprechaun.
