Pressure testing trans

Could someone possibly tell me where i could find some instructions on pressure testing my tranny for internal leaks?

Bump.....I am looking to check the pressures because i am looking into a valvebody and want to be sure that internally my trans is in good shape to take it, so can somebody help?

There's a port on the passengerside of your tranny where you can hook up a pressure gauge to see the pressures while driving around, it's the plug thats on a angle.

There are more than one pressure test port on the side of the trans.

The FSM has a bunch of test that you can perform on the transmission to see what if anything is failing.

I have a Haynes manual, would it be in there?

Call Tony Garcin @ Dunrite. (360) 693-3200. He can tell you everything you need to know in a few minutes over the phone. I just heard him do it today. Time well spent with a phone conversation.

So did you figure out which port to tap into? There's 2 of them on the passenger side on the trans. One is closer to the front and exhaust pipe than the other. Do they both give the same reading? Which is the one we want?

i never took a pressure reading so i dont know but I did order a converter and vb from goerend, too bad somebody had to pull out in front of me the other day, so now my pride and joy is in the body shop
