Pressure gauge installation.

I installed a fuel pressure gauge from Vulcan Performance in my 02 dodge this afernoon. Is it ok for an air pocket to be in the antifreeze? While running you cannot see the air pocket, but when you kill the truck the fluid drains back about an inch. My idle pressure is about 11. The lift pump is new and the spec shows typical pressure of 12-14 and a minimum of 10. I know im above minimum but not by much. At full load typical spec pressure is 4-6 and im right in that range. I was just wondering if the air pocket in the antifreeze line could cause a lower pressure reading?

The air pocket will not cause any issues.

the lowest "safe" pressure that I have found is 4-5psi. At about that pressure the rubber diaphram in the injection pump is allowed to move too much and cause it to tear and rip, then it's not "long" before it dies.

I just put and Alliant Power lift pump on that I got from Arkansas fuel injection. (I work at a Deere dealership and they rebuild our pumps). Supposedly this pump had check valves in it to supply enough flow for the injection pump even if the lift pump fails. The bulletin inside the box noted that at full load the pressure could fall to near 0.
