power upgrade

okay I got about 450 bucks I wanted to get a little hp upgrade. I was thinking about that outlook monitor P.E. it gives 55-60 hp and has some gauges. or should I get superchip or hypertech tuner and some gauges on the side. I noticed you can get those on this sites classifieds for between 200 and 300 dollars. what would be the best way to go. I have a stock tranny so I don't want that much power like the edge juice. but I want a little more than I got.

First get a fuel pressure gauge and pyro, then get a used ez for, 200 bucks and a set of 275's, for $300, tranny will hold (if it's a good one) if not you would have to fix it soon or later anyway.

Guages are most important! You need to know what's going on to protect the vp. Smarty is too much for your budget so you are limited to what you mentioned. I really like my van aaken but it won't leave you with enough for guages. You could run a cheap mechanical guage on a grease gun hose tapped into your schrader valve on the ip and have enough for a van aaken or edge ez to get by for now. Good Luck

I wouldn't upgrade your power with those 35" tires, your tranny will live a short life unless you put a $600 valve body on it. Now if you were running stock tires, I'd go with a used Edge Comp and some sort of a fuel pressure gauge.
