Power Plates for a '97
ok we are in the process of buying a 1997 5sp 2WD regular cab 3500. i was looking on TST's website and Bully Dogs for there most power for your dollar power plate. i was thinkin probably a #5 plate. but TST does not recommend this for this year and trans., only up to a #10. I was wondering why this is. i want some pretty good power out of this truck and i have planned 60 hp injectors and different air filter (aFe). Thanks

Get the #10 and forget the chart, with your 215 pump you can make that plate mean or tame, I'd also get 3K gov springs and find someone to bump the timing up.

The #10 plate and 3k GSK is great! You can tune this plate for just about anything. If you tow heavy...slide it back a little..if you dont tow..move it forward a little..

I'm going to join in and say get the #10, Jim and Rick talked me into it and it works really well for a pulling plate not as violent as the #5 just as much if not more power, great for towing. Like Jim said the chart means Jack
