Power output with injectors

I would like to know if I were to put a set of stage 5 jammer nozzles on my stock tranny truck if driven wisely if the trans might hold up ok??? I guess the biggest question of mine is how the power comes on, cruising down the highway not "on the throttle" is the engine making alot more torque or does it only make all the tranny killing torque when my foot gets too heavy??? I am hoping to do a TC/VB upgrade within say 6 mos. but I found a set of nozzles for only $225 and would really like the extra umpphh for town driving. Do you think I would be ok if used wisely, or would normal driving with the extra mods be too much strain on my trans? BTW it has 95k on the tranny, and is regularly serviced and doesnt slip unless the edge is on.

with the juice it will toast your stocker tranny. and your probably lucky that the juice by its self hasn't took it out

More power will just start killing your TC.. which will then take out Overdrive and other fun things..

I've been running smarty and Jammer 5s for about 6 months and you can baby it if you have to. I am planning on buying a completely new trans. when this one goes, but I figured I'd get whatever life out of this one as I can. Occasionally I'll get some shudder when the TC locks, and towing almost anything is will really show the stocker's weakness. I've been keeping the smarty on SW 5 for the past 6 weeks or so.

I ran around for a year with 100hp injectors and a comp and a smarty on a stock tranny with a DTT valvebody in it with no issues. If driven wisely and with a good valvebody these trannies can take a decent amount of power and abuse.

Bigblue, thats fine that you did it with a valvebody, but as of now I dont have a VB, I have pondered getting a manual for the 47re and a transgo kit rather than spend the $$$ for a good VB, but I know in the longhaul I would be a lot better off buying a properly built VB and TC then add some ponies, before I ruin my whole trans and have to spend big bucks
