powder coating
Hey Guys,
I was down in Maryland doin' a welding job a week ago or so and I had some time on a weekend to kill so I went to the International Raceway Park to check out some bike racing. Well I had a great time and while I was walking around checkin' out the vendors I met a guy that has a powder coating business in Fredricksburg Va. His company is Kool Koatings and his name is Bob Wilder.(540) 368-9026 This guy had some real wild stuff there. I was tellin um about some thing that I wanted to do to my truck and he shot me a price that was great! Alot lower then up here in N.Y. I'm sending him some of my parts to have coated even with shipping it's cheaper then up here. He also said that he would give a nice discount to anyone that called and mentioned this site. I'm sending rearend covers, valve cover, some wheel parts etc. I'll let ya know how it turns out.

I got a guy locally that does mine. He is very reasonable too, because he does it for "beer money", he says. Built his own oven and can do stuff as large as bumpers.

I just got a quote to have my headache rack powdercoated for $95.00 and my bumper valance for $75.00. Not sure what it would cost to have them sprayed, but maybe you can make a comparison based on that.
