Post your dyno and 1/4 mile numbers

Trying to see what mods needed to accomplish what numbers. All the mods in my sig yielded 406rwhp/826tq on a Mustang dyno (a truck with mods identical to mine did 452rwhp/890?tq on a DynoJet) and 1/4 mile times of 13.7 with stock 285 tires, 14.0 with 37" tires.

And if you know approximately how much you spent on your mods please list that also. Thanx!

CRAP! All that for 400hp? I hope the potential is way higher with the forged rods and studs. I got 434hp/1006lbs torque on mine with 37s and 3.54 gears. Similar combo with 4.10 and 35s got 505hp.
I'm sure the air filters, exhausts, gauges are similar price-wise, so I'll stick to the major performance parts: turbo 1500, Drag Comp 575, injectors 900, ECM 500 (no power gain though, more for driveability), aux lift pump and big lines 300
BTW, how do you like the MT/Rs? I'm getting close to replacing my BFGs at ~40k miles and I'm looking at the MT/Rs for weight capacity.

as for the duramax(LB7), if you buy a 150powerpup, and all else is stock your looking at 390hp@780tq, and will do an 14.6 in the quatermile, for a cost of about 350dollars and 4 minutes to install

Yup.. 780 ft-lbs, 650 before the LB7 Allison cries MOMMY...

Now back to the CUMMINS Forum... Stick to the General Diesel Fred... Last time I checked, yours has too many holes...

A lot of those items are for efficiency or safeguards. Basically chip, intake, exhaust, turbo, injectors, and fuel system make the power.

I haven't gone offroad with the MT/Rs yet or towed anything really heavy so I can't really comment on them other thatn they look nice and I like the road noise.

this belongs in the "general diesel discussion". not to be rude, just the wrong forum, unless you are looking for a cummins bombed to that HP/TQ level and wanted to compare...

I only had the nitrous on my rev for one weekend to try it. Not a big enough hit to really suit me. I think it is the way to go and keep costs down. The motor I am building now is big bucks compared to the bottle. if you put a 40 hp hit on the rev you will probably love it. You will sure feel it. If I were to really get into the nitrous I would want a 75-100 hp shot but that is getting pretty serious. I have not heard of piston issues with the right nitrous mixture. I ran a boss noss system. No need to jet. Jim

I'm probably using a Cummins in another project if I can get more hp cheaper than from a PSD. Trying to see what it takes to get a Cummins into the big numbers (600rwhp +).
