Possible Blue Chip VP44 Failure
#16
Scratch that. Chip got my dates mixed up when I bought the pump so it is out of warranty. He did offer to repair the pump, but I would have to pay for it.
I don't mind, but I do regret not choosing to P-pump my truck when the VP died the first time.
Not quite sure what to do now since I'm deploying in a few days. I might just wait to get a new pump until i get back in April 2012 instead of getting one right away and wasting 6 months of the warranty since the truck will just be sitting.

Good luck to you Hawaiianbro and if you are headed to the desert stay safe...Thank You for Your Service!
Try the relay trick just for piece of mind. I thought I was screwed too when my truck died....I got lucky and it was an easy fix.

Wow..... That sucks. Very sorry to hear that you were out of warranty. Hopefully you were out by more than a small amount of time too. And hopefully Chip ran through the list of tests you need to perform to be absolutely sure it is indeed the VP. If you leave the truck alone until you get back then bring this thread back up and we'll help as much as possible to be sure before you spend your money on something you didn't need.
And as swordfish said, be safe and thank you for your service.
