Poll for those of you with FP guages
Just want to see who has either a mechanical or a electric FP guage. And I also want to see if anyone ever had a leak in the cab.

Only had my gauge a week or so, but not too worried about a leak. Diesel stinks, I would detect it in the cab right away. I have a Drain C*ock type valve (thanks to Bill for identifing it) Unhooked from the hose it allows about an eyedroppers worth by every few seconds. Point being that a darn near CLOSED vavle in-line should be dampening or eliminate anything harmful comming from the LP or IP. The fact that Diesel is nasty, and could weaken the gauge itself?, that I don't know about. Time will tell. If mine fails, I close off my valve, $35.00 later, new gauge installed all is well again.
Good poll idea.

Just because it's an electrical you aren't immune to diesel in the cab.

Many who use the isolator find that the diaphram ruptures before long and you either end up with a leak in the engine compartment, or fuel to the gauge anyway.
I have never used an isloator, just a length of stainless braided line straight from the fuel filter canister to my gauge on top of the dash.

I have the drain type valve and I have reason to believe that it will work just as well as the needle.
