I bought my current truck a few months ago (98 12v). Love the truck and recently purchased a car for a DD and all around vehicle. The purpose of the truck will primarily be to tow, and for the most part it will be our big 5er pushing about 14k lbs. Truck is basically stock right now but my goal would be 300 cool usable hp to tow with. At this point the tranny is the only thing holding me back from doing power mods. I had a fully built Goerend in my 2000 and loved it. However on a truck that is not a DD or a toy I don't know that I can justify $4k just in parts. So here is the question. I was looking at the Revmax 375-400 hp kit for about $2k. It would be running a single disk converter and their valve body. My concerns would be slipping the converter, or breaking the input shaft while towing. Did this on my 2000 before the billet Goerend unit. I'm sure the tranny would hold fine for normal driving but what is going to happen when I put the weight behind it. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

HTS. I got an Ultimate Duty Trans for $2500 a while back and it's good to 450hp.
