Please help, FASS/VP44 fuel system issue!
I had a mishap with the electronics on my HRVP44 so while its getting repaired I bought a stock SO pump to put on it its place. That was all great, I got the truck running today and it runs great minus a lil bit of power I noticed its missing from the HRVP but now I have other issues.
For some reason my FASS is pressurizing my fuel talk to the point that it was pushing fuel out of factory overflow back into the filler neck (completely full tank all the way up the overflow hose inlet, if tank was lower no fuel could come out)
But regardless its building some decent pressure, enough that you can hear it whenever you loosen the fuel cap, and when the pressure in the tank gets real high my FP on the gauge goes from normal 12 up to 15 psi.
Obviously somewhere, somehow air is being pumped into the tank, because the FASS cant pump more fuel into the tank then its pulling out (where could it come from ) so why is it pumping air into the tank...and a bigger question is how is it pumping so much so fast...it can pressurize my tank in a matter of seconds, so it must be pumping air fast.
