Yea.. that 90 housing is going to spool quick... (most are running something in the 1.20-130 range.) but you can always go to a bigger housing later.. You might have to gate the entire system.. or both turbos to controll the boost.. If you are use the stock gate on the 35 don't forget to modify the exhaust housing by drilling the exhaust so it will controll the boost better.. (Connection both exhaust ports of the exhaust housing.)
They are lots of work.. buy you'll have fun when they are finished..

I already crossdrilled the housing on the 35 and opened up the wastegate to 38mm I also have a 50 mm external gate to regulate total boost.
Thanks,

That charger would make a pretty good big single...it's gonna move more air than a "normal" 62mm S300, and spool a bit slower, but it would work! Depending on how much money you have in it, I'm sure some of the turbo shops could put a bigger wheel in it if you need more air. On the exhaust side, just slap in a 50mm external wastegate if it chokes. Fast spool up is your friend...keeps EGT's down, and makes it more fun to drive!
These suggestions are if you want to keep this charger...if you swap it out for a S400/B2 it will move lot's more air, but you'll probably be disappointed in the spool up after driving with the one you have
No problems from my end with explaining things...how else do you learn??
Chris
Edit, just saw you already have a 50mm gate

Well I don't have any money in this turbo it was a freebie. Soon as the weather permits I am gonna tear the truck down and finish fabbing up the rest of the piping and see how it does. I'll keep you posted. And even if I out grow this setup a good s400 isn't that much and just a few more pieces of tubing to update it. So what the heck.
Thanks,
Joe

I am using 3", 3.5", and 4" exhaust tubing on the cold side. the hot side is a schedule 40 3" 90. I made a new flange and adapter to go from the 2" to 3" at the 35's outlet. I have a print of the 5" exhaust flange awaiting aproval for my gallery. You might just need to modify the outlet to fit 4" it is designed for 5" to fit over top of it.

What do you guys think about running a HTT62/14 with a s400 set-up? How much better than running a 40/3b combo? Running my macher's and as low smoke as fast possible on spool-up. I throwing around changing twins combo.

Whats the difference from a 62/14 vs a 62/12 beside the obvious exhaust housing difference? Spool-up vs egt's? I've lived this long with sky high egt's. So would you guys dump the 3B for the S400? Hate to hi-jack. Nathan told me to run a Garret turbo with a wastegate. It moves more air than a S400 and spools the same.
