phat shaft 62mm = WOW!

so i burned the stock turbo up got the phatshaft 62 alittle lag at first but when it kicks in hold on to your pants its a great amount of power im still in the break in period but at 20 25psi its as much as my other one was doing at 40.
But one problem when i changed the turbo out i checked on a small leak i had that has became bigger as time goes by well ends up its from my head so would it be a good idea to get head studs and a marine gasket for the engine while i have it off. whats a strong than stock stud that a college kid can afford.

I suspect that running the stock charger at 40psi is part of the reason your head now leaks.

First thing is to retorque the stock bolts!!! Try them at 120. 105 is stock.
If any seem to turn a little extra, that one is stretching. Replace it.
This isn't a fix for a blown gasket but you may save it for a while.
40 lbs boost with a stock charger is a lot of back pressure, or drive pressure.

What exhaust housing did you get, 12 or 14?

If you have to pull the head you might as well bite the bullet and do it right the first time instead of trying to save a little bit and blowing it again.

If you're not warming your truck up first then that is a fantastic way of joining the blown HG club =P
