Permanently removing stock LP

Basicaly I just want to know do most people remove the stock LP when installing the Walbro 392/391 kit? If so do you make your own blocking plate? What are the dimensions? I'm about to install the kit and I want to decide what I'm going to do before I start the job.

Thanks, Jason

Hey Jason, welcome to DTR! If you fill out your sig. we can see what you are working with.

I believe some people run it both ways, but GDP says the kit will perform just as well if not better with out the stock LP. If you have the in tank retro kit, they will tell you to remove the in tank set up and get a draw straw or a stock sending unit. When removing the LP I don't believe there is anything that requires blocking off.

I removed mine to get it out of the way. Once you cut the fuel line there isn't much reason to keep it. I have been very happy with the Walbro.

If you're talking about your 02. The plate stays behind when you take off the lift pump.

I suggest you leave the mount on the block. I took the mount off my block and covered the hole with a plate and I couldn't get it to stop leaking oil, I ended up buying another mount from the dealer.
