performance question
i have 2500 dodge truck 6 spd and my dad just helped me get its a 2000 by the way anyways he won't let me get a edge box so it there a way of getting it put on and then be able to turn it off and on inside the cab without him knowing it

The Edge EZ is mounted under the hood and can be hid, and installs/removed in about 5 minutes.<br>The Edge Comp can be installed in about 1 hour (give or take) and can be turned off and hid under the dash.<br><br>--Justin

Hey hey Pourin Diesel -- tell me about those ATS20 injectors. I need to upgrade and am wondering about power and smoke. My set up almost mirrors yours. I appreciate the info.

My question is this.... Im new to diesel engines. How would i go about crankin 500 hp (give or take a few) out of one of these?
On a 24 valve engine
Gauges
Power Edge Drag Comp
Really large injectors
Bigger turbo
Mega Cannon air filter
4" or 5" exhaust
Upgraded fuel lines and lift pump
Transmission or clutch upgrades to handle increased HP/TQ

Hey, it won't be long until you are doing it on your own and Dad can just advise. Just a thought, if you have to sneak, is it worth it?

Check out the TST Power MAX 3. You would be able to mount the box under the dash, and plug the remote in anyplace. Pull the remote in less than 10 seconds.

Towtruck, <br>I got the ATS20% injectors in early August if memory serves correct.<br>I cannot make smoke when my Comp box is turned off with these injectors, makes it nice driving in town.<br><br>When I turn on the box, smoke is controlable just like any big injector.<br>If you want to turn day into night with these Injectors YOU CAN! ;D<br>Also you can upgrade later on to a 30% if you choose to do through ATS.<br><br>My dyno run listed in my signature is with these injectors.<br>I would rate these injectors at 100-120hp, I havent dynoed with my Comp off or dynoed without the injectors.<br>Right now EGT's are in the 1500-1600 initial WOT, and continuous WOT about 1200-1400.<br>This is with the Piers HX40/16cm2, with a stock turbo and Drag Comp and large injectors EGTs will be scary.<br><br>I plan on eventually going with the 30%'s once I get a fuel system worked out.<br><br>--Justin<br><br><br><br><br>

Just a little more food for thought - any device that taps the pump wire (ie the Comp) has a high likelihood of voiding your powertrain warranty - in addition to voiding the trust you and your father share. My advice don't do it - ask again as a birthday present 8)
