paper/rubber meterial stuck on oil pickup tube

Question paper/rubber meterial stuck on oil pickup tube

just got a motor out of my truck, I have never had it apart before, when i got the pan off the oil pickup tube was almost completely cover up with some kind of paper/ruber stuff. i havent seen anything like this before and i dont know where it came from. could it be from an oil filter?

Somebody had it a part with all the head work you had done to it. has:lazer cut injectors, head studs, south bend dual disk clutch, 60 lbs valve springs,

hopefully not a accidental material that got in on one of the prior pull aparts. doesent sound normal. post a pick of it if you can

which brand filters are you running? Cheap low qualify filters like Fram are known for that, reason I no longer use them on anything.

was any of it orange? sounds like headgasket pieces, i found a bunch in mine after i blew a headgasket and then later on did some other motor work and cleaned it up. no ill affects thus far

none of it was orange, I havent found anymore in it yet. the bearings look fine, i just hope that was all of it that was in the engine

Is this stuff is kind of greasy I have seen this before if its what i think it is antifreeze that has been left in the oil and cooked to form a rubber substance

that could be possible since this truck has had to blown head gaskets that I know of.
