Painless wiring?
I am looking at adding one of the painless wiring brand fuse blocks (7 circuit) to my truck for power accessories. Has anyone used these? Are there other brands I should consider?
Thanks

Re:Painless wiring?
I'm using the Painless 7 circuit block (weather-proof, mounted in the engine compartment).
I love this system. 8)
No more fuse taps, & questionable amp loads on stock wiring.
Thanks Shovelhead,
That was going to be my next question. Weather-proof or not? I would think that it would me much easier to mount it in the engine bay then under the dash. It would also be easier to access it to run the accessory wires but I was concerned about the water tight integrity of the water-proof one. You have answered that question.

Re:Painless wiring?
I am running the water proof Painless unit under the hood. Put it on the firewall next to the clutch reservoir. I think the only difference between the water proof and regular is the rubber top cap.

Re:Painless wiring?
I installed the 6 circuit Buss block from Advance Auto Parts. It cost $7.99 plus $1.49 for a relay. It isn't water proof. I put dielectric grease on all the fuse tabe befor plugging them in. After running all winter, no problems. It's mounted high on the firewall near the clutch res.

GM
