I can vouch for Daves warrenty. I bought my truck from a friend that had one of his trannys put in it. I had the truck for a couple of months and I twisted the input shaft out of it. Gave Dave a call took it up there to him, a week later got the truck back, no questions ask. Super guy.

I emailed Dave a scanned copy of the trans rebuild invoice the previous/original owner had performed on my truck. Dave gave me a call yesterday around 5PM and told me the shop used all of the parts that he would have. Well, everything except for the TC. The VB was not replaced. It looks like I'll be going with the triple-disk, 2nd gear lever, and VB. He actually said that I won't need the VB for 300 HP, but I sort of talked myself into it.

I asked him about the 2-3 overlap. He told me what they do to make it go away, and what they do to make the improved shift fast and not noticeable. One of the things I will need to do is pull a certain servo and add a second spring to the factory spring.

Order of business - KDP, gauges, transmission, then #6 plate. Now if I could just get my truck back from the truck equipment shop in San Diego.
