Paging Diesel_Dan ? on FASS stand pipe kit

Dan, Do you think I could hook up the factory fuel pick-up along with the stand pipe kit by installing a Y fitting in the line. Whenever I get below 3/8s of a tank I loose fuel pressure due to the pipe being uncovered. I still have the 1/2 inch line and fitting that hooks onto the factory tank fitting I would just be installing a Y so my pump could pull from both sources.

That would only work if you had some sort of a check ball to keep from sucking air. If you ran out on one.....it would be WAY easier to suck air then fuel. Thus not fixing your problem you are seeing.

We have found in the last couple of weeks that if you relocate the tube to a more central location on the tank, and still set it up about 1/8" off the bottom, this VASTLY improves performance of the draw tube. BUT you still cant run a marathon on your tank with this setup. When the fuel light comes on…you need to have a fuel station on the brain……

If you wanted to use your in-tank module, you can run the return of your pump of choice, into the stock module. This would allow the in-tank module to function more like stock. The pump would be drawing, and the engine and pump both would be returning excess fuel into the cup. I feel this would be the most effective approach, but not the easiest.

This is something our R&D department is currently working on to improve.......

I've got the pipe currently mounted as near the factory set-up as possible. Guess I'll just keep more than a 1/2 a tank in the truck until something different comes along. I used the 2 quarters method of spacing the straw so it should be 1/8 inch off the bottom of the tank. I've gained a solid 3 pounds of pressure by getting rid of the factory stand pipe pickup and fittings but I get nervous on hard stops in town when the pressure drops to the bottom even if it is momentarily. But it only does that when I'm below the half tank level.
