p7100 pump question
Can anybody tell me the size and the thread of the hole for the inlet of the injection pump i am bypassing the filter and running 1" braided fuel line from the fass pump to a filter base on the frame and then straight to the injection pump. any help would be appreciative i know there is a heli coil in there you can take out and thread a fitting in there but i dont know what size and thread.

I gutted my fuel plumbing and went with homemade fuel pickups, hose, filter and plumbing to the IP on my truck. I can tell you 1/2" fuel line is probably total overkill, nevermind 1". I went with 1/2" feed and 3/8" return. nylon tubing, elbows and barbed fittings for the straws. my remote filter is a racor with WIF sensor kit and heater. I ended up putting it under the bed since theres not much room in areas protected from rocks and roost. a racor 490R which is 90GPH is plenty fuel flow up till just about 500hp. That pump fitting is great for moving fuel and purging air from the lines. I just wish I could shoehorn it into where the stock one was.
Not sure on the fitting size. I bought a couple fittings from vulcan performance so I could tee my FP gauge sender off of the IP.
I wouldnt go with an electric pump unless you really have to. Theyre a little noisy and they can burn out unexpectedly. If you have a 24v, maybe look into a MITUSA or RASP pump if you want a mechanical with good flow rate.
