over the last month I have had 30 216 codes and have taken it in for warr. 2 times and can not get the IP pump replaced they changed out the tps (apps i think)AND NOW TODAY THEY REPLACED the Lp for the 2nd time everyknows the 216 code means death to the IP and still they will not change it . any ideas on how to kill it for good I dont dare pull my 5th wheel and boat to the lake because I dont want to be stranded iam sick of this.

unplug your lp... that will speed things up a bit. it could die within a mile or it could take a couple months. Heat kills, so ya might try to run it out of fuel a couple times... in the hot weather.

Last time i posted this some guy somethin about a tangled web. All im tryin to do is answer the guys question so jump him for askin it before you chew me out for my post

It really comes down to the dealership being unwilling to pay for the VP-44. I would suggest being firm with them. Ask them if they would like to pay for the tow to tow your truck AND trailer back to town when the truck dies again.

Bottom line, your IP is dead or dying and they know it. They are just trying to save $$

I would not suggest heading out on a trip under these circumstances.

I could never understand why dealers don't wanna replace a faulty part when they know its bad. Its not like chrysler isn't paying them to replace it. I went thru the same crap when I had my Jeep. I've never had good warranty experiences with any chrysler product.
