how much is enough i think a 12 valve manual says up to 35psi my holley and stock can get 25 at idle but it it drops quit abit.

I wouldn't go anyless than 40, But you can never have too much. I run 50-60psi but I'm looking for a new set up for pulling season to get me to 100

So are you saying that it's Ok to run higher than normal pressure to a P-pump? Will it effect it in the long run if the pressures are higher than normal??
