P-pump on a 24v

I am thinking about buying a p-pump for my 2000 dodge 2500 24v. I would like to make it into a drag racer. Wondering if this is the best option.

For all out performance you can't beat the p-pump JMO... ALL the BIG BOY 24v drag racers have gone to the p-pump now.

did you notch the corner of your head? cuz when we built my friends p pump 24v everything went on fine, but today we had to take it off to get re calibrated and we could barely get the back bottom pump nut off or on. Next time were going to notch the head.

Also they run alot better with 33* of timing compared to 18*

That depends on how fast you want to go. The overwhelming majority of guys wont ever need it. High elevens is doable with a VP44 with no nitrous.

The new 12 second bracket in the DHRA is a perfect place for the 24V Vp44 to compete. You get the unbeatable consistancy of a VP44 electronic controlled truck that is hands down better than a mechanical truck.

Consistancy wins bracket races.
