I disagree the Aeromotive pump is the same as a FASS II. The longevity of the FASS pumps is proven on our diesel applications, Aeromotive is not. If you want to experiment, fine, knock yourself out, I'll help you as much as I can, but don't call them the same pump until they offer a warranty for 4 years or 400,000 miles. I don't think it is a fair comparison.

Cheaper? You haven't bought all the fittings, connections, fuel lines, electrical connections & 12 volt relay system. With the FASS pump you get engineered, workable detailed instructions, fittings, electrical harness & relay built for our trucks, and support for installation, a 4 year warranty, and a 400K mile warranty. Not a fair comparison to say your $165 pump is the same as a $375 FASSII when you don't have it installed and tested yet.

The Walbro pump was suppose to be the perfect pump for $130. After much engineering, buying the additional parts needed, packaging, storage, and adding profit, the kits are now as much as the cost of a FASS II. The Walbro set up is a fine system, but it could not be done for $130. It simply costs more to do it right.

I'm not denying FASS anything, but what I am saying is FASS is NOT the definitive answer in performance diesel fuel pumps. And I'll almost bet that there are 20 times the Aeromotive pumps on street and race cars and trucks than FASS pumps. From 5000 HP top fuelers to daily street driven cars, both carburated and fuel injected.

And yes I have bought all the hardware for my install and I'm about 300.00 under the FASS system. Which includes a FF/WS from RACOR that I can get a filter from just about anywhere. And instructions?? IMO if you can't make up instructions in your head you shouldn't be bombing your truck. I don't mean to sound confrontational, but don't beat a man down for trying something other than the norm.
