Well, called glacier and ordered my walbro 392 with strainer today. I will wait and get the big line kit later. Can anyone give me any tips on the install? I take it they set the pump from the factory right? What prussue can i expect with this setup on 5x5 on my edge?

i have the comp kit on my 05 with the big line kit and its set at 27-28 psi at idle and at wot i pull it down to like 23-25psi and i'm running a edge hot juice stacked with and ez
if you do a ez, mp-8, power puck it will help you on the lower end. the big line kit will help keep the psi up at wot and it runs better at highway speeds.

You can't "set" a Walbro, from what I understand.
It gets voltage applied to it, and it pumps what it can, come heck or high water. These pumps will still move fuel at pressures over 90psi!
So the only way to "set" the operating pressure is by varying the restriction to the flow the Walbro is producing (or trying to). Your VP44 is a variable restriction, and it won't flow enough by itself to get FP down to sane levels.
I wouldn't be surprised if an unregulated Walbro plumbed directly into the system would show you 30, 40, or even 50psi or higher. These values are too high, imo, and the pump pressure should be regulated down by allowing the extra flow to be returned to the tank via a bypass regulator.
According to the flow chart I found online for the Walbro pumps, at the typical VP flow rated of 30-40gph, the unregulated pump would show you about 110psi, dropping to 90 at full throttle.
Not good for VP health, imo.

Thats exactly how it done. The 392 comes with a by pass regulator. The extra flow is returned to the tank.
Had mine of for a couple years now. No problems, Great system.
I have mine set for 15 psi it holds rock steady.

I think the kit from Glacier includes an overpressure return line, this is what they mean by "set" to a pressure. The pump itself can not be set. And it will blow the lid off of anything rated to less that 150 psi, as that is the pressure I personally measured on the 392 on the idling engine. It was not connected directly to the VP44, mind you, so I have no video to show how far the parts from the fuel filter housing would land.
